I loved this ad for places to see. Being a native New Yorker, the lights and the city were so beautiful! I just loved it! I loved the Norwegian Christmas tree, spruce, right? I loved the angels, that was one of my favorite things and eating pizza at Sbarrros, and desert at serendipity with our singles group called Tnt's from Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle. What fun times, and going to top of the rock, with my brother Steve Christiansen and sister Donna and her son and my family, FAO Schwartz, Toys Us, Eating at the Big mcdonalds, going to the sports plus game room place and food, and of course going in to the museums like The Museum of Natural History, Seeing the Twin Towers Monument (which I used to look at as a child on Long Island from Cedar and Overlook and Gilgo beaches, where my brother worked as lifeguard), then going to the favorite singing food and dinner place for our children's birthdays- I forget the name, but you know which one! The watresses and waiters climb on the counters and sing to you, the broadway songs! Then we went of course, to the shows- les miserables (probably 4 times), phantom of the opera was incredible too, we did this recently on a trip back with some of my children, my daughters- we would also eat at a lovely Italian place there in the theatre district with my brother. In times past, we would go up to the top of the empire state building. Once as a young single I went up in the building with the rotating restaurant with my friend Eric. I enjoyed Central park, always, watching the sailboat races, resting on the grass, taking my children to the park there, with my husband and parents and of course, the Circle Line- amazing tour to see the STatue of Liberty. Of course we took the kids and grandparents to Ellis Island, and the STatue of Liberty, as my parents are immigrants (legal) from Norway. Such an important city, New York is, in culture, heritage, beauty, excitement, recreation, education, relaxation, family togetherness, and where the unimaginable becomes reality! I LOVE NEW YORK! :) NY is my "big apple!" :)
